Overview
Undeterred by global economic slow down the momentum of WiMAX deployments continues throughout the world. According to WiMAX Forum there are over 503 WiMAX deployments in 145 countries which cover approximately 430 million people and continue to expand rapidly.

As a champion of WiMAX development Taiwan has established a substantial and complete WiMAX ecosystem that includes WiMAX commercial services expected to be proliferated by the end of this year and early next year. Being an ardent supporter of WiMAX technology, Industrial Technology Research Institute together with WiMAX Forum will hold this WiMAX Summit Taiwan 2009 to share deployment/operation experiences and explore business opportunities.
