TATUNG InfoComm Co., Ltd., formerly known as WiMAX BU at TATUNG Company, has been implementing the “M-Taiwan” Project led by Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs (IDB, MOEA).
TATUNG has been endeavoring in the field of Mobile Broadband Technology by establishing TATUNG InfoComm in 2007 and then in July 26 acquiring the WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) license for the southern region of Taiwan, serving the people in cities and counties south of Taichung and Hualien.
TATUNG InfoComm, a versatile mobile communication operator of WiMAX, runs the business across three major fields of Mobile Communication, Mobile Information as well as Mobile Broadcasting for individuals, home, enterprises, and governments. The services include Mobile Internet Access, Voice, Multimedia Video, M-Broadcasting, Integrated Enterprise Service plus various value-added mobile applications.
TATUNG InfoComm launches WiMAX services in Penghu as the first WiMAX operator to officially kick off the business on April 27 2009, and the services provided in Kaohsiung since July 8 2009. Moving forward, Tatung InfoComm is and always will be running ahead as a nationwide versatile and leading mobile broadband operator with convergence of multimedia, telecommunication and digital broadcasting.
